Melk Design initiated a project in 2001 called the “Hydrogen House”. Together with Claes Suphammer and Yngve Tranøy, Melk Design developed a project that would be the first house in Norway to have a 100% sustainable power system. Hydrogen as energy carrier for electricity, made it possible to be self served with electricity, summer and winter. This project is very complex, and we got a Norwegian Oil Company to provide money for developing the concept. The project is today on hold, but will hopefully be realized in the future.
